Welcome to explore the world of WoMoCrafts and experience the unique charm of handmade wood-fired pottery, each piece crafted through the wood firing process, possessing its own distinctive style. I believe that each piece of clay has its own unique soul, and every wood firing session is a dialogue with nature.

Wood firing, the technique used to create wood-fired pottery, is an ancient and intricate ceramic-making skill. In this process, pottery pieces are first handcrafted from clay, then placed in specially designed kilns where they are fired using wood.

During firing, flames and smoke from burning wood cover the surface of the pottery with unique markings and ash, giving the pieces distinctive textures and colors. Wood firing requires precise control of temperature and combustion conditions to ensure the quality and appearance of the pottery.

Each piece of wood-fired pottery has a unique appearance and texture due to different burning conditions, making it a one-of-a-kind work of art. This technique not only gives the pottery a unique beauty, but also inherits the ancient pottery making tradition. Our kilns are fueled by pine and cypress wood and use the resins and compounds released by combustion to create unique glazes on tea sets, strictly avoiding any chemical additives. Each firing requires several tons of wood and lasts 27 hours. Due to extremely low production volumes, our products are exceptionally rare and valuable.
